
Kyle Knabb has been promoted to Cultural Resources Director - Southern California. In this new role, Kyle will work closely and collaborate with leaders across our southern California offices to lead a group of archaeologists, paleontologists, and architectural historians, prioritizing employee engagement and driving new business initiatives.
Kyle earned his PhD at UC San Diego and brings nearly 20 years of experience in archaeology and cultural resources management (CRM) to this position.
His journey began in 2005 as an archaeologist in San Diego and Los Angeles counties. Over the years, he has excelled in various roles, serving as team lead at a previous employer prior to joining SWCA. There, he guided a multidisciplinary team and managed CRM and paleontology studies for large-scale projects supporting renewable energy development and the federal market sector.
Since joining SWCA in 2024, Kyle has played a crucial role in expanding our land development opportunities in the Inland Empire. His expertise in project management, business development, and talent development has greatly contributed to our growth in the region.
