SWCA Environmental Consultants is pleased to announce that we have joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.
The UN Global Compact mobilizes companies and stakeholders everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SWCA is proud to join the thousands of companies and non-business signatories globally committed to taking responsible business action to create the world we all want.
SWCA has a long history of sustainability, releasing the company’s first report in 2008. In 2021, SWCA established a sustainability framework to connect the company’s operations and initiatives to the UN’s SDGs and three pillars of people, planet, and partnerships. In 2022, we addressed our technology equipment lifecycle by partnering with nonprofits to accept unneeded equipment and we committed 100% of our offices to ending the purchase of single-use plastics. Our recent Ecovadis silver rating score illustrates the robust sustainability foundations we have developed over the past decade.
SWCA continues to make purposeful steps in sustainability — acquiring ALO Advisors, becoming a global environmental consulting firm, joining the UN Global Compact — and looks forward to the next. Learn more about sustainability at SWCA.
