As chief delivery officer (CDO), Norma plays a pivotal role in enhancing client experience with a focus on three critical pillars: program management, innovation, and scientific and technical expertise. Prior to her role as CDO, Norma served as senior vice president for SWCA’s Rockies region, which includes offices in Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming. She joined SWCA in 2005 and has worked her way up through SWCA in various leadership roles. Throughout her tenure, she has focused on developing and leading teams to provide staff a variety of paths for professional development. She also serves as a member of SWCA’s Board of Directors and as one of SWCA’s three Employee Stock Ownership Program Trustees.
Norma has extensive archaeological experience throughout North America, including Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, South Dakota, Kansas, Montana, and Nebraska. She is knowledgeable in the policies and procedures governing the National Historic Preservation Act and Section 106 compliance. She is adept at managing large, multi-year, multi-discipline projects for oil and gas exploration, pipelines, transportation, telecommunications, transmission, and land development clients. Norma holds a bachelor’s degree in biological anthropology and anatomy from Duke University as well as a master’s degree in anthropology from The George Washington University.
