Austin is the 2024 Have a Heart Award Winner

For the last decade, SWCA has recognized an office that has stood out in their efforts and spirit of giving back with the annual Have a Heart Award. We are honored to congratulate the Austin office, and their Gives Back Champion Kendall Duncan, as the recipient of the 2024 award. This is their third win since the award’s inception.

In 2024, the Austin office went beyond in their commitment to our core value, Gives Back. Employees participated in 12 Gives Back and 7 Spreading the Science events throughout the year including making pinch pot kits for research, geoarchaeological sampling at Caprock State Park, habitat refreshes for wildlife, and an annual park beautification for Its My Park Day, adding up to 488 volunteer hours. In addition to volunteering, employees raised funds to benefit community programs, food banks, schools, and homeless shelters for a total impact of $13,896.

The Austin office fully embraces the spirit of SWCA Gives Back, demonstrating a strong commitment to community involvement and companywide campaigns. Employees actively participate in organizing and attending events, contributing their time and effort to support the Gives Back program throughout the year. This collective engagement strengthened the office’s sense of community and showcased the impact of working together toward a shared purpose.
