Eric is SWCA’s Vice President of Strategic Growth. He is responsible for advancing client relationships, business development strategy, geographic growth, and staff development nationally for SWCA with a focus on the transmission and generation business lines. He also collaborates with operations and the delivery teams to achieve SWCA’s goals. Working closely with Operations, Eric mentors, collaborates with, and guides strategic growth directors throughout OneSWCA to direct efforts towards strategic and/or large pursuits, to expand our portfolio with current clients, and to develop work with targeted new clients.
Eric has a diverse background with many years in electric utilities and commercial transmission and renewables development (Duke Energy and American Transmission Company). His project experience includes transmission line and utility-scale solar and wind development, acquisitions, and utility partnerships from New England to Alaska. Additionally, his utility career prior to SWCA has ranged from environmental policy to commodity trading.
Eric obtained degrees in Political Science and Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin, and he completed his MBA while working as an environmental policy analyst and advocate in Washington, D.C. Eric gained experience in utility transmission line siting and maintenance issues while representing U.S. electric utilities on clean air act, climate change, federal land management policy, endangered species, siting, and vegetation management compliance issues.
