This webinar will introduce you to each phase of the NEPA process- from project kick-off through publication of the Record of Decision and explain what it all means in the “big picture.”
Upon completion of the webinar, participants will:
- Understand the overall philosophy and purpose of NEPA
- Receive a basic overview of the CEQ regulations and NEPA case law
- Understand the step-by-step NEPA process
- Be able to determine and appropriate situations for Categorical Exclusions (CEs),
Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) - Learn the role of federal agencies in the NEPA process and understand the responsibilities of NEPA consultants
- Learn how to maintain the administrative record to minimize litigation risks
