Environmental Footprint Baseline Assessment, Park City Mountain Resort

Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) — ranked as the 3rd most environmentally friendly ski resort in North America by the Ski Area Citizens’ Coalition — contacted SWCA Environmental Performance Group for help in determining the resort’s current environmental impacts.
We provided PCMR with the following:
- a detailed environmental footprint baseline analysis of the resort’s operations, including their carbon and ecological footprints, water consumption, and solid waste generation
- review of current green practices and eco-efficiencies
- recommendations for tracking and reporting progress, potential eco-efficiency opportunities, and employee and customer engagement
This is believed to be the first ecological footprint completed for a ski area in North America.
