Matt Pierce Promoted to Engineering Director

Matt Pierce has been promoted to Engineering Director. In this role, Matt will focus on energy related site civil work to continue growing that portion of the engineering service line while supporting SWCA’s team of nationwide engineers.

Matt has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Registered Professional Engineer in nineteen states. His career spans 19 years including 11 years in leadership roles and over 15 years of experience in the Energy Sector, including: generation, oil and gas, transmission, and wind. Matt is also a Member of the Board of Directors for the non-profit Evolve Coaching since December 2023.

Matt joined SWCA in 2021 as the first site Civil Engineer. Since that time, Matt has grown a design group of eleven engineers and CAD designers in Pittsburgh, with much of that growth in staffing taking place over the past 9 months.
